The Team Matrix is the enterprise "employee × day" grid used by tools like Workday and UKG. Each employee is a row; each day of the week is a column. Cells show hours + status dots (for timesheets) or shift times + type (for schedules). It is designed for teams of 20+ where the calendar overlay becomes unreadable. Click a cell to edit, drag column edges to resize, and toggle Compact / Normal / Spacious density based on what you are reviewing.
Admins set a lockdown date on /settings/timetracking. Time entries with a clock-in before that date can no longer be edited or deleted by employees. A configurable grace window (in days) lets managers close out late-submitted hours after the lock. Only Administrators and Executives can override the lock for corrections; every override is written to the audit log so compliance has a reviewable trail.
Yes. Each entry can carry up to 10 free-form tags, 32 characters each. Tags are normalised to lowercase and deduped automatically on save. You can filter the list and Team Matrix views by any tag, which is useful for categorising work beyond project and task (for example "overnight", "client-visit", "bugfix").
Yes. Projects now have both an hours budget and a money budget. The money budget is tracked against billable entries only (hours × hourly rate), so non-billable time never draws down the cost ceiling. Progress bars for both appear on the project detail page with matching 80% / 100% colour thresholds, and currency inherits from your organization default.
